What to expect

Real waterfall reward but a real hike to earn it. Multiple stream crossings (wet feet guaranteed), muddy roots, and a final scramble. Kids 8+ who can rock-hop with confidence will love it. Pool at the end is swimmable but carries leptospirosis bacteria — if kids swim, no open cuts and rinse off immediately after.

Parent notes

Plan for wet feet from stream crossings 1, 2, and 3. Bring water shoes for kids (Tevas work) — they'll be more confident on slick rocks. The pool at the end is shoulder-deep in spots — supervise younger swimmers. Avoid after heavy rain (flash-flood + stronger current).

Safety

Leptospirosis in the water — don't drink, keep open cuts away, wash hands + body after. Cliff jumping at the falls is dangerous and discouraged — submerged rocks. Flash flood risk after heavy rain: turn around if streams are running brown or fast.
